  1. This picture of a young boy wearing Munsingwear briefs caught my attention when I was around 7 or 8 years of age. It was generally seen in Life magazines from the early 1950’s but may have appeared in earlier issues. I became infatuated with him and later as I neared my teen years I had dreams of being with him! I often wondered about hi, who he was, his age when the photo was made, where he lived and what his interests might be. As fate would have it, two boys ages 10 and 13 who lived nearby wore the same Munsingwear briefs and I found living alternatives to this boy in the picture that I was having fantasies about! yes

    • I never see a Munsingwear in my life except fot ads. Not in the local stores either. How did you really come about them ? Really. Was it different from Fruit of the Loom ? Really ?

      • Hello Q. Munsingwear briefs were available from the 1940’s thru the 1980’s undergoing changes along the way. They were not sold in stores such as Sears or J.C. Penney as they carried their own brand. Munsingwear briefs could be found in department stores such as Mac’ys, R.H. Whites, Filene’s, Dillards, etc. Mostly stores that were not of the discount or low end type. Where the average brief such as Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, etc. were essentially flat paneled in the front, the Munsingwear brief had a unique shaped pouch that allowed more room for the “family jewels” to fit into (as can be seen in the Munsingwear boy picture), thereby making them more comfortable. Boys that I knew who wore them just loved them. (They were more sexier as well) yes
